Intercultural and digital Competence for the BMJV

LEARNTUBE!, the cultural experts from Planmensch and the Wuppertal agency for digital communication wiminno support the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV) in the further training of judges and public prosecutors.

In a pilot project, judges and public prosecutors of the federal states can further educate themselves in the areas of "intercultural competence" and "digital competence" on the initiative of the Federal Ministry. The TYPO3-based learning software LMS3 is used.

Corresponding modules explaining terms and concepts on both topics are available on a learning platform. Using the learning software, participants can first learn the basic terms and concepts. In the area of "intercultural competence", exercises are presented and the knowledge is consolidated in exercises. The learning content of "digital competence" deals with basic terms and concepts of IT and presents crimes on the internet, the technical background of which is explained in the learning software. The self-learning phase is followed by online meetings in which the knowledge from both areas is consolidated.

The pilot project will be evaluated at the end of the year and the results will be presented to the state ministries, which will decide whether to continue it.
